1989



Mara Salvatrucha(MS-13) rule the streets of Glendale and East Hollywood areas of Los Angeles.They are involved in various criminal activities such as drug trafficking,contract killing and extortion.The MS-13 inject fear into the residents of Glendale and East Hollywood.Even the cops are powerless to stop them.



Artur Manucharyan is an Armenian immigrant who lives in Glendale.He is always racially taunted and bullied by the members of MS-13's Salvadorean members.Sometimes,they would even beat up Artur and take his money away.This caused Artur to develop a hatred feeling towards the Hispanics.Then,

Artur learnt that not only him who was harassed by MS-13 but also the other Armenian youths in the neighbourhood.



One day,a helpless Armenian,Jay Sarkissian was bludgeoned to death by the Salvadoreans.This incident prompted the Armenian youths to take revenge on the MS-13.Artur and other Armenian youths bought themselves a gun each from a Russian arms dealer in East Hollywood.Some of the Armenians were also armed with Molotov cocktails,knives and machetes.



A week after the murder of Jay,these Armenian youth set upon a group of MS-13

members and brutally killed them.These murders sent chills down the spine of the dominant MS-13 thugs.Step by step,these Armenian youngsters rose to the ranks to snatch Glendale away from the Hispanics.After Glendale,it was then Pasadena,North Hollywood and East Hollywood which fell to the Armenians.



Due to these successes,the Armenians named their gang as Armenian Mafia(AM).The AM then became the guardian for the Armenians and other Eastern European communities.The AM is led by Artur.MS-13 tried to regain the lost territories but they failed.The Armenians had the support of the Mexican Mafia.





2003





The AM is so influential nowadays.They are invited to observe the peace talks between the Mexican Mafia and other Hispanic gangs.The AM has a new,young hitman in the gang.He is Mark Sarkissian.Mark is the youngest brother of the dead Jay.He is a very dangerous hitman.He is feared among all the street gangs and also the cops.He runs a money-laundering racket with his uncle,Sargis.



While on a routine hit mission,he came across another contract killer.Her target is also the same as Mark.It was Mark who shot dead the target,a Jamaican drug dealer.After the mission,they sat down at an Armenian pub for a drink.There,

Mark knew that she was from MS-13.Her name was Beatriz Banega.Her boyfriend,Antonio Cardozo is one of MS-13's key hitman.



Since that day,both of them became close and would meet frequently.This was found out by Antonio's brother,Rico who tried to shoot Mark at a pub but Rico was shot dead by Mark's henchmen.This incident triggered a massive gang war
between the MS-13 and the AM.Latin-owned businesses were attacked by AM while Armenian prostitutes were brutally raped and murdered by the MS-13.



This war came to a halt when the powerful Tijuana cartel stepped in.The Mexican cartel urged these two gangs to cease fighting because the war has attracted the attention of the FBI.It was too late.The FBI has assigned Special Agent Dirk Wallace to track down Antonio because he is wanted for the kidnapping of a software engineer in Santa Clara.Agent Wallace got to know that Beatriz is Antonio's girlfriend.Meanwhile,

Beatriz quit the MS-13 because she feared for her life after Rico's killing.She asked for Mark's help.Mark hid Beatriz in his cousin's house.
Agent Wallace got to know about the Beatriz's split from MS-13 and came to Glendale to track her.He met Mark and asked Mark's permission to meet Beatriz.Mark refused but when Agent Wallace told that he can guarantee Beatriz's safety,he allowed the agent to meet Beatriz at his house.During the meeting,Beatriz spilled the beans on Antonio's whereabouts and activities.



The following week,after careful surveillance and investigation,the FBI led by Agent Wallace raided an apartment in Long Beach.Antonio opened fire but he was killed when the federal agents returned fire.MS-13 was deeply stunned and scarred by the death of Antonio.



After that incident,Beatriz moved to Miami with the help of Agent Wallace.
Mark felt she would be safe from MS-13 in Florida.He was wrong.Just two weeks
after she moved to Miami,she was hacked to death by Miami's MS-13 gangsters.
She was shot dead before she was chopped into pieces before being dumped on a beach at Florida Keys.

Beatriz's murder triggered a nationwide crackdown on MS-13 by the FBI.Numerous arrests has been made and the gang is now kept at bay by the enforcers.
